CALIFORNIA AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION

110th CALIFORNIA AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
The Preserve GC, Carmel
June 21 – 26, 2021
COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS:
Please wear a mask in and around the clubhouse and when you are not able to maintain six-feet of separation from others.
CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT:
156 players will play two rounds of stroke play.
Monday, June 21 – 156 players competing in groups of three. starting between 7:00 – 3:30 p.m. off tee 1.
Tuesday, June 22 – 156 players competing in groups of three. starting between 7:00 – 3:30 p.m. off tee 1.
Playoff: If necessary, a playoff for the 32nd qualifying spot will take place on Wednesday morning at 7:30 a.m.
MATCH PLAY:
Wednesday, June 23 – First round of match play; 32 players starting at 8:30 a.m.
Thursday, June 24 – Second round of match play; 16 players starting at 7:30 a.m.
Friday, June 25 – Quarterfinal matches; eight players starting at 7:30 a.m.
Friday, June 25 – Semifinal matches; four players starting at 12:30 p.m.
Saturday, June 26 – 36-hole final match; two players starting at 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Golf Carts will not be permitted at the championship. The NCGA/SCGA will use United States Golf Association guidelines in determining cart exemptions for ADA-approved disabilities.
Directions to The Preserve Golf Club (Do not Use GPS/Avoid Robinson Canyon Road):
Follow Rancho San Carlos for approximately 8.5 miles.
Make a left onto Pronghorn Run 1 mile.
You will come to a gate that opens automatically, cross the road and you will approach a second gate.
Use the down arrow to highlight golf club.
Press call and the pro shop will answer to let you through.
Make a left at the drive way which is approximately 200 yards past gate.
SPECTATOR INFORMATION
Spectators are welcome to attend this event. The player must contact the golf shop in advance to notify them of any spectators coming to the
course. All spectators must have their name at the Gatehouse prior to attending. Spectators must adhere to the dress code and COVID protocols
listed within this document and must walk. If spectators have any questions leading up to the event, please contact the NCGA at (831) 625-4653.
SMOKING POLICY
The Preserve is a smoke-free environment, however, smoking is permitted in the parking lot and on the outdoor patio of the Men’s Grill. Due to fire danger, smoking is prohibited on the course.
DRESS CODE: VERY IMPORTANT – APPLIES TO PLAYERS, CADDIES AND SPECTATORS
Men are required to tuck in their collared shirts. Cargo shorts are not permitted. Men are required to remove their hats when entering the building.
Shorts, skirts or skorts are not to be more than 2" above the knee.
PARKING:
Player parking: Parking at the clubhouse is restricted to players only.
Caddie parking: Caddies must park at the Corporation Yard. The address is 121 Rancho San Carlos Road, Carmel CA 93923. Shuttles to the clubhouse will be provided.
Spectator parking: Spectators must park at the Event Barn parking lot. The address is 87 Rancho San Carlos Road, Carmel CA 93923. Shuttles to the clubhouse will be provided.
REGISTRATION:
All players will receive a player badge from The Gatehouse when entering the facility for the first time. This badge will allow you access to the clubhouse and lunch during the tournament rounds.
PRACTICE ROUNDS – CONTESTANTS ONLY:
The Preserve Golf Club will host complimentary practice rounds for each participant. Practice rounds will be available on Sunday. Club reciprocals
will not be accepted for additional practice rounds. Caddies are permitted to walk with their player during their practice rounds. Caddies and guests will not be allowed to play.
Practice Round scheduling will open Monday, June 7 at 8:00 a.m. Please use the following link to access the Practice Round Tee Sheet and select your starting time.

Make sure you are logged-in to the portal and select your name from the dropdown. After selecting your name in the dropdown, click "Next".
You can then click "Select" for the tee time you would like to choose. Players may sign up other players using this same process. Important Note: Do NOT sign up another player for a tee time without their consent. You can then click "Done" to save the tee time. You will be able to select your own tee time along with up to 3 other people (with consent). Reservations will be on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made by Tuesday, June 15th before 5:00 p.m. All practice facilities at The Preserve will be available only 30 minutes prior to your practice round time. The Preserve Golf Club has a limited number of carts available and will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE (PLAYERS ONLY)
A hosted lunch (11:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) will be available Monday through Wednesday in the clubhouse. Players must use their California Amateur Player Badge to gain access. A snack tent will be available at the 10th tee during the week for items for purchase.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE (CADDIES AND SPECTATORS)
Caddies and spectators may purchase food and beverage items in the clubhouse and the snack tent. Credit card payments ONLY.
CELL PHONE POLICY
Unless you have AT&T as your service provider, cellular data will not be available at The Preserve. WIFI is available in the clubhouse. Players, caddies, and spectators should turn cell phones off or to silent mode while on the property and limit calls to the club’s parking lot. Live scoring will be
available throughout the championship at ncga.org and scga.org.
REFUND POLICY: Requests received after the entry closing date and 48 hours prior to the event will be honored less 50% of the entry fee. No refunds will be honored within 48 hours of the event.
